Batch No. 3 came out of the pan on the lighter side similar to Batch No. 2. Batch No.3 exhibits much of the same flavour profile with a more traditional syrup flavour with smokey overtones. Being the only two batches without rain fall during the boiling process I believe that is why they both came out lighter.
